Together for the First Time in Person

Sara Karloff was born during the filming of Son of Frankenstein on her father's birthday, November 23rd. 4-year-old Donnie Dunagan played "Peter Von Frankenstein," the son of Dr. Frankenstein (Basil Rathbone) in that film. Donnie and Sara will meet face to face at the Classic Movie Monster Con for the very first time since his role in the film and her birth!

Donnie Dunagan is an extraordinary man who had an exemplary career as a Marine Corps officer after his early successes as a child actor in Hollywood. His memories of Boris Karloff as a man and actor, and of working with him and other horror icons in two Universal films, are rich and heart-warming. Donnie is the last living actor who performed on screen with Karloff as "The Monster" in the Universal Frankenstein series. In 1942, he was hired by Walt Disney to provide the voice of young "Bambi" -- the first time Disney used a child to portray the voice of an animated character.

Meeting Donnie and Sara and hearing their memories of Boris Karloff and  some of the remarkable events in their lives will be an experience you don't want to miss.

Elena Verdugo is wonderful and tragic as "Ilonka the Gypsy Girl" in House of Frankenstein, the sixth in Universal's great series of eight Frankenstein films. House is a glorious "Monster Rally" featuring the studio's full array of monsters for the first time.  Boris Karloff, who played Frankenstein's Monster in the first three films, took the role of the Mad Doctor this time. He is joined in the merry mayhem by Lon Chaney Jr. as the Wolf Man (3rd of 5 times for Universal), Glenn Strange as the Monster (1st of 3 times in the series), John Carradine as Count Dracula (1st of 2 times in the series), J. Carrol Naish as Daniel the Hunchback, and a terrific supporting cast of other character actors well-known to classic horror fans. Don't miss it!
