Film and Panel Discussion

Tower of London was Donnie Dunagan's second and final motion picture for Universal. Again he worked under Rowland V. Lee's direction, and played opposite Boris Karloff (as Mord the executioner) and Basil Rathbone (as the evil Richard, Duke of Gloucester). Both Karloff and Rathbone had enjoyed working with Donnie in Son of Frankenstein.

Unfortunately, a great deal of film footage from Tower of London ended up on the cutting room floor. Some of the scenes in which Donnie appeared ran into trouble with the censors. Rathbone was extremely upset with the studio as a result. Don't miss Donnie's explanation of what happened on this classic production.
